Musing Challenge #17

Sorry, about the last couple of days and no posting. The days seemed to have gone by really fast, and there just was no time left for making crafts.
Although, today I do have a new Musing Challenge! This one is completely different than any of the others. For #17, I'm using my ribbon. Yes, that is my ribbon and storage for them. I hate showing all of you, but maybe this will push me to do something with it. Normally, I am a very organized person. While on the other hand, my ribbon is a different story.
So now for the challenge~
Please use my mess as inspiration for you!
(maybe it will look tons better next week)
Whether it is using ribbon or any other item that you have tons of.
Post a link in the comment section of this post.

Spring Cupcake~

Hello Everyone~

The weekend is here. Yeah! Today, we are celebrating the boy's 5th birthday. Although, their actually birthday was on Monday, but we are having a bowling party today with family and friends. Before I finish getting everything ready. I want to share my card that combines both Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #56 (using sketch below) and Our Creative Corner Challenge ( to use a tag anywhere on your project).

Here is what I came up with~
I wanted to make something with a Spring theme (I can't wait for the cold weather to be over). So when I started playing with my paper packs, I couldn't believe I found two different packs that match (DCWV Spring Pack and Papertrey Pink Patterns). Paper not matching, has to one of my major reasons for not using patterned paper often. I like everything matching!
After getting my paper together, I had to decide on a stamp to use. So I grabbed my polka dot cupcake from Cupcake Occasion. Being that it is a cupcake challenge, and the stamp is too cute!
Please enjoy~
Supplies~
Stamps: Cupcake Occasions (CC Designs Rubber Stamps) and Mailbox Greetings (Papertrey)
Cardstock/Ink: Paper Packs (DCWV and Papertrey), Saffron, White, Baja, Black, and Berry Sorbet
Extra: yellow paper flower, pink brad, silk berry sorbet ribbon, punches, and linen thread

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

A Rusty Birthday~

Good Morning~
Another morning post, I can't believe it! I'm on a roll. LOL! Anyway, let's get right to the post. That way, maybe I can go play some more in my room. Since there is a couple more challenges I want to do this week. Or should I say this weekend!
Today's challenge is by Kristina~ Color Inspiration #42. My second More Mustard challenge this week. Because Kristina's inspiration didn't have any girl colors, I decided to make a male birthday card. I'm always needing one of those!
So here is what I came up with~
I'm a fan of stamping onto twill ribbon (just don't do it very often). For this card, I went ahead and did it. Having clear blocks and stamps, it made it super easy to repeat the HAPPY stamp over and over again (always seeing just were it needs to go). Plus, I like how the ribbon had three different areas. This helped keep everything lined up.
Supplies~
Stamps: It's a Celebrate (Papertrey)
Cardstock/Ink: White, Kiwi Kiss, Really Rust, and More Mustard
Extra: glitter on main cupcake, twill white ribbon, and mustard brads
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #27

I'm back!!!
Just couldn't stay away this morning. For this post I want to share my creation for Loonie Stampers Challenge #27. It happen just in time, because I finished a book that actually fell apart in my hands as I was reading it. Glad I found a way to recycle those pages!
Here is my card~
The background is made using a flower that I punched out, and inking around the edges with a sponge and black ink.
Supplies~
No Stamps!!!
Cardstock/Ink: Cream, Black, and Book Print (Papertrey)
Extra: Cream Paper Flower (CTMH), Petal Punch (Stampin' Up), and black brads
Okay, I think I'm done today! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Let's Celebrate More Rosey Kiwis~

Good Morning~
I am happy to share my creation from one, out of the two challenges this week using More Mustard. The color has to be one of my least favorite. Really, the only time I use it is around Thanksgiving time. Which many times only makes it onto one creation, if not at all.
So when I saw the challenge by Splitcoaststampers: More Rosey Kiwis, I couldn't help but turn my nose up. But as I started playing with the color combo, I realized that it wasn't so bad after all. That is why they call them challenges, right!

You could say that I am really pleased with my creation! I just may have to use More Mustard more often.
Here is my card~
Supplies~
Stamps: Beautiful Blooms and It's a Celebration (Papertrey)
Cardstock/Ink: White, More Mustard, Regal Rose, and Kiwi Kiss
Extra: slit punch and silk rose ribbon

Well, I must get back to my room to see what I can come up with for the other mustard challenge. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Eastern Flowers~

Hello everyone~
Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Today, I'm sharing my creation for Musing Challenge #15. The picture is one of my favorites for inspiration. This is the first card I came up with, and I'm planning on another one with a different color combo (just all in by head). I ran out of time, so I will have to share it later!
Here is my creation using Baja, Saffron, White, and Burgundy~

A closer look at the flowers~
To give the flowers a 3-D feeling, I took my maker and rolled the pedals over it toward the center of the flower. Also adding some glitter to the center to give it some bling. You may also see that I cut a quarter of an inch of the front of my baja cardstock and layered the burgundy over the edge.
Supplies~
Stamps: Eastern Blooms (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock/Ink: Baja, Burgundy, White, and Saffron
Extra: edge punch, white brads, and glitter
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow for some birthday creations!!!
